About this product
Art. : 418-43

Dear friends, you have in your hands a collectible shawl, the design of which is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the proclamation of Russia as an empire.

Imperial Russia begins its history from the day Tsar Peter I assumed the title of the Great, Emperor of All Russia, Father of the Fatherland. The new title was presented to the monarch by the Senate, the Synod, and on behalf of the entire nation on October 22 (November 2), 1721, at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in St. Petersburg.

The empire lasted for about two hundred years, until February 1917, and it was two centuries of the grandiose geopolitical and cultural rise of our country. Russia has become a leading global power.

The small coat of arms of the Russian Empire, which is the official state symbol, is depicted in the center of the scarf.

The monograms of the 14 rulers of the Russian Empire from the Romanov dynasty are located around the coat of arms.:

  • Emperor Peter I 1721-1725
  • Empress Catherine I 1725-1727
  • Emperor Peter II 1727-1730
  • Empress Anna Ioannovna 1730-1740
  • Emperor John VI 1740-1741
  • Empress Elizabeth I 1741-1762
  • Emperor Peter III 1762
  • Empress Catherine II 1762-1796
  • Emperor Paul I 1796-1801
  • Emperor Alexander I 1801-1825
  • Emperor Nicholas I 1825-1855
  • Emperor Alexander II 1855-1881
  • Emperor Alexander III 1881-1894
  • Emperor Nicholas II 1894-1917

The corners of the handkerchief depict the coat of arms griffins of the House of Romanov, holding a tarch (Russian shield) and a raised sword in their paws.

Russian Russian handkerchief is decorated with an ornament by the great Russian artist Fyodor Solntsev (1801-1892), who is one of the creators of the Russian style in art.

Our scarves are made with a soul and need reciprocal spiritual care and attention. They practically do not crumple, they are very pleasant to the touch, delicate and soft. They like to be in public, attend social events, and can't stand being alone. We are always ready for experiments and bold combinations. They will serve faithfully for many years, will never go out of fashion and will always be appropriate and useful.

Nina Ruchkina and Mikhail Ivanov worked on the design of the scarf.
