The sacred splendor of the embroidered icon "Our Lady of the Three Hands" is a genuine work of sacred art, which combines the ancient traditions of the Orthodox canon and the exquisite technique of mosaic embroidery. Each handmade detail is not just a manifestation of craftsmanship, but a deep spiritual utterance capable of touching the most delicate strings of the soul.
The image of the Mother of God, surrounded by a shining halo, was created using the most precious stones, which gives the icon a unique picturesqueness and depth. The finest embroidery with natural rubies in a silver setting, sapphires, emeralds, amethysts and spinel creates a play of light, reminiscent of the unearthly beauty of the heavenly kingdom. Green garnet, tanzanite, kyanite, lapis lazuli, quartz and crystal are harmoniously interwoven into ornamental patterns, each of which carries a special meaning. These materials embody wealth and grandeur worthy of the most discerning connoisseurs.
The linen lining, on which the embroidery is made, testifies to deep respect for ancient traditions. And rhinestones and beads from the Czech Republic and Japan add subtlety and refinement to the details, emphasizing the craftsmanship of the artisans.
The frame and the kiosk are not just a frame, but true works of art. A composite wooden frame with exquisite carvings frames the icon, just as golden rays frame the sun. A wooden and glass kiosk creates the illusion of a miniature temple, protecting the image from time, but allowing light to enter and enliven each element. A finial with a decorative insert made of glass crowns the composition like a heavenly crown, giving it special significance.
This unique object, created at the intersection of faith and art, carries not only beauty, but also deep symbolism. He addresses the highest human aspirations: to power based on spiritual power, to influence born of harmony, and to the desire to leave a mark on eternity.
The icon was made in the Volga region in the middle of the 19th century. Restored.
